Vanscoy - Saskatchewan

Equilibrium Consulting provided design and erection engineering services for the superstructure and travelway on this large span structure. The project consists of a 90m (300 ft) long addition to an existing 300m (1000 ft) long potash storage facility. The 70m (230 ft) span was achieved with four arch segments, spliced on site with full moment timber rivet connections at the quarter point. The completed structure represents one of the largest heavy timber structures in North America. The roof shell consists of dimensional lumber and plywood, reinforced for lateral loads with glulam braces and steel rods.
